I've been busy with stuff OTHER than Affiliate Marketing

Hey there.

I know... long time no blog. Before I get into my review of the Performics Client Summit that took place in Chicago at the Ritz Carlton last week, I thought I'd share just a bit of what I've been up to this summer.

Warren Nationals Boys Majors Little League All Stars

I coached a group of 11-12 year olds. They were a great bunch of kids! We practiced 5 days a week, and though we didn't make it to Williamsport, we had a lot of fun, and I'm hopeful they all learned a bit and became better ball players. (That's my son in front, 4th from left.)

Gettysburg Bike Week '07

My friends Greg, Troy and I headed down to Gettysburg Bike Week '07 with a group of about 12 other bikes from Hornell, NY. We had a blast! I'm embarrassed to say that even though I live in Pennsylvania, this was my first trip to Gettysburg. We got to take in a lot of the Bike Week festivities, including the Burnout Competition (pictured), all the vendors, the Dale Earnhardt Experience (ultra lame, but it was inside an air-conditioned trailer!) and Cross Cut Saw. The best part, though, was touring the battlefields and museum with our own personal tour guide, "Smitty", who rode down with us and knows a heck of a lot about Gettysburg! The other photo is of a monument to John Burns, a civilian hero of the war.

Fishing in Canada

I also had the good fortune of travelling to Lake Nippissing in Ontario, Canada to go fishing for a week with a group of friends. We caught a lot of walleye, bass and northern pike, and were treated well by Denis, Lisette, Frank and Charlene, our hosts at the Memquisit Lodge. This was my 3rd trip to Memquisit, and if you ever decide to do some Canadian fishing, I'd strongly recommend visiting this pair of couples for their great lodging, fantastic food and hospitality. Here's a pictured taken from the porch of our cabin.

On Monday, we'll get back to affiliate marketing and the Blair.com Affiliate Program. I'll be sharing my thoughts about the Performics Client Summit.
